ELON, N.C. – Every Monday, Phoenix fans can get a look at the week ahead with our “Elon Athletics Weekly Update” feature when we will preview all the week’s upcoming events for our sports teams.

Men’s Basketball (7-4)
Elon vs. #5 Duke, Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 6 p.m., Greensboro, N.C. (ESPN2)

• Elon got back on track ending a three-game skid with a 68-53 victory at Saint Peter’s on Sunday afternoon in Jersey City.
• Brian Dawkins scored a game-high 18 points. Tyler Seibring (14), Dainan Swoope (12) and Steven Santa Ana (12) also scored in double figures. The Phoenix matched a season-high with 14 three pointers against the Peacocks.
• Elon returns to action on Wednesday, Dec. 21, hosting the No. 5-ranked Duke Blue Devils inside the Greensboro Coliseum. The game will tip off at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.

Women’s Basketball (5-4)
Elon vs. Akron, Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 1 p.m., Atlanta, Ga.
Elon at Georgia State, Thursday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m., Atlanta, Ga.

• Coming off an impressive road victory at East Tennessee State, the Phoenix travels to Atlanta, Ga., this week for the GSU Holiday Classic. Elon take on Akron on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 1 p.m. before facing host Georgia State a day later at 1 p.m.
• Elon put four players in double figures at ETSU on Dec. 17, led by a 19-point performance from Shay Burnett, who played 19 minutes in the victory. Ra’Shika White notched a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards in the win.
• Following the GSU Holiday Classic, Elon returns to Alumni Gym for the first time in 32 days when it hosts King on Dec. 28 at 5:30 p.m.
