Josh Tobias(Southeast Guilford HS) traded from the Phillies to the Boston Red Sox/Phillies get Clay Buchholz

The Philadelphia Phillies acquired right-hander Clay Buchholz from the Boston Red Sox for second-base prospect Josh Tobias(Southeast Guilford High School) on Tuesday.

Tobias(SEG/Florida Gators) was selected in the 10th round of the 2015 Draft by the Phillies. He split last season between Class A Advanced Clearwater and Class A Lakewood, hitting a combined .291 with 31 doubles, nine home runs, 69 RBIs and 10 stolen bases in 127 games.

Buchholz, a two-time American League All-Star (2010, ’13), is 81-61 with a 3.96 ERA in 206 games (188 starts) in 10 seasons, all with the Red Sox. He also threw a no-hitter in his second career start on Sept. 1, 2007, against the Orioles.
