Game Report on Northwest Guilford-Ragsdale Boys Basketball:Turner turns it up for Vikings with 26 points and overall strong outing for NWG

NORTHWEST GUILFORD 79, RAGSDALE 39

GAME NOTES: After a slow start from both teams that resulted in a low scoring 1st quarter in the opening round of the HAECO Invitational Tournament, the Northwest Vikings were able to put together an impressive 3rd quarter and overall 2nd half to finish the night with a 79-39 victory. With swarming defense and sharing of the basketball, the Vikings outscored the Tigers 28-7 in the pivotal 3rd stanza.

The Vikings were led by Tre Turner’s 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Thomas Hennigan contributed 16 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists while Reggie Davis provided 11 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Jalen Spicer contributed 8 assists and Jacob Davis added 4 points and 12 huge rebounds to help control the boards for Northwest. Matt Rakes provided 6 points and 5 assists.

Ragsdale was led by Brycen Thomas’ 10 points while Aaron Clark and Nysick Walcott added 6 and 5 points respectively.
