HPU head men’s basketball coach Scott Cherry takes part in SUBWAY Coaches Vs. Cancer Campaign

HIGH POINT, N.C. – If you visited the Slane Center SUBWAY yesterday you might have noticed a familiar sandwich artist hard at work in High Point University head men’s basketball coach Scott Cherry who was slinging sandwiches as part of the SUBWAY Coaches vs. Cancer Campaign.

Coach Cherry is one of four locals coaches along with the head coaches from Elon, UNCG and North Carolina A&T taking part in in the campaign in an effort to raise awareness and support for the fight against cancer.

Donations in any amount can be made at the checkout of participating Triad-area SUBWAY restaurants through Feb. 28 with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the local Coaches vs. Cancer program. All contributions will go to support American Cancer Society local patient support programs, education and research.

The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Locally, the North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association has joined the effort to promote healthy living, raise awareness and support for the fight against cancer.
