High School Basketball Tonight in and around Greensboro and Guilford County:SWG at NWG in the spotlight

Games for tonight in and around the county and for many teams, this will be their last game of the regular season, Tonight….
All games set to start with girls at 6pm and boys at 7:30, unless otherwise noted….

Southwest Guilford at Northwest Guilford…We will have this game for you on GreensboroSports Radio….Girls at around 5:50 with the pre-game and then boys to follow….SWG at NWG, Tonight on GreensboroSports Radio….First time these two teams played at SWG, it was Boys:SWG 88, NWG 86 and Girls:NWG 52, SWG 51…
Dudley at Southeast Guilford…SEG girls(7-2) with two conference losses and Dudley(6-3) with three, SEG boys topped Dudley at Dudley and both of tonight’s games are big with Dudley at two conference losses and Page at three as we head deep into the last week of the regular season….
Western Guilford at Southern Guilford…Big-Time battle for second place in the Mid-Piedmont 3-A for the boys with SG and WG both at (7-3) in the conference, behind #1 North Forsyth, at (9-2)…
Southern Alamance at Page…Both Page boys and girls need to keep on winning with both at or near the top of the Metro 4-A standings…
Greensboro Day School at High Point Christian Academy…5:30pm for Girls and boys at around 7pm…GDS boys at (28-3) and still on a run in the PACIS Conference and the Bengals need every game/win down the stretch, for NCISAA State Tournament seeding purposes….
Rockingham County at Eastern Guilford….EG boys are making a run and they are ready to keep running….Can’t be looking ahead to non-conference game with Page coming up at home tomorrow night, must stay focused on the Mid-State 3-A…
Northern Guilford at Morehead…Both Nighthawk teams, and especially the girls, have to stay on course and that is a winning course, of course, here in the last week of the regular season….NG Girls(20-1/13-0)…
Eastern Alamance at Northeast Guilford…NEG girls(11-4) still have a chance for the #3 spot in the Mid-State 3-A, with the Rams’ only two conference losses coming to Northern and Rockingham County…
Grimsley at Smith…Smith has to get these two wins to keep their major playoff hopes alive and last time out in the boy’s game it was Grimsley 58-52, over Smith…
Ragsdale at East Forsyth….Tigers at Eagles and the Ragsdale girls(4-4) can enhance their playoff hopes with a win at East tonight, but the Ragsdale boys could well be out of luck, when it comes to playoff action this season….But since you can drop 4 non-conference losses if you play 24 games and Ragsdale does play 24, the Tigers go from their current boys record of (8-14) to (8-10), just like that, in one move of the cursor….Interesting stuff, yet tricky stuff at that…
Glenn at High Point Central…HPC boys are quietly having a very good year…Bison boys at (13-7/5-3) and could be looking at being the #2 or #3 team from the Piedmont Triad 4-A Conference…
High Point Andrews at Wheatmore…HPA boys(15-6/8-0) are in great shape, while the T. Wingate Andrews girls, at (5-3) PAC 6 2-A Conference, are in a spot that is totally uncustomary to them….Lady Red Raiders fell 50-49 to Eastern Randolph, last Friday night…
Wesleyan Christian Academy at Forsyth Country Day…WES boys fell to GDS again last Friday night, but Trojan men are still in good shape, with another meeting between the Trojans and the Bengals, being a major possibility for the NCISAA Finals, at the State Tournament…
WES boys(24-4/3-2)/WES girls(20-5/5-0)…
Also in the area:Western Alamance at McMichael…Nikki Wilborne, a Greensboro College-grad, has done a great job with the WA Warriors girls team, now at (10-9/7-7) and very competitive….
