Greensboro Players doing some good things for the N.C. Central baseball team

Carter Williams was 2-5 for the North Carolina Central Eagles in the win Tuesday versus High Point University and Williams, a freshman from Northeast Guilford High School, is paying dividends in his first year with NCCU….Devin Sweet, from Southeast Guilford HS, has been doing a good job again this year on the mound for Central and Central also has sophomore Andrew King, a 6’8/220 pound LHP from Western Guilford High School….N.C. Central has done a fine job recruiting the Greensboro area and with the young men we just mentioned and there’s also Zach Michalski, from Wesleyan Christian Academy and GTCC, plus you have catcher Timmy Fischvogt, from High Point Christian Academy….

DURHAM, N.C.North Carolina Central University battled with Iona during the middle innings, but a go-ahead single from freshman Carter Williams(Northeeast Guilford HS) helped the Eagles take game three of the series, 7-5 on Sunday, Feb. 26 at the Durham Athletic Park….Williams went 4-5 in this contest….

DURHAM, N.C.North Carolina Central University junior pitcher Devin Sweet(Southeast Guilford High School) recorded eight strikeouts and allowed just one earned run in six innings on the mound, but a pair of unearned runs cost the Eagles in a 3-1 setback against Iona College on Friday at the Durham Athletic Park
