Badmaev Places Third as Elon Women’s Golf Wraps Play at Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate

MORGANTON, N.C. – Led by Kelsey Badmaev’s third-place showing, the Elon women’s golf team concluded play at the 2017 Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate in fourth place with a score of 609 (308-301).

For Badmaev, her result was her second straight third-place finish. The senior followed up Sunday’s round of 75 with a two-under 70 on Monday, giving her a 145 over the 36 holes. She finished just two strokes back of medalist Taylor Dodson of Gardner-Webb.

Finishing at nine-over, Aurelia Hamm finished in a tie for 17th out of the 68 players in the field.

Two strokes back of Hamm was Hilda Kristjansdottir who tied for 22nd with a mark of 155. In a tie for 28th was Heather Munro who carded a two-day score of 156 following a one-over mark on Monday.

Anali Otazo Rodas and Katherine Reilly tied for 57th with a mark of 172.
