College Women’s Lacrosse Final – Guilford 21, Randolph 5

LYNCHBURG, Va. – Amanda Dionne and Madison Iandoli scored four goals apiece in Guilford College’s 21-5 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) lacrosse win at Randolph College Wednesday evening. Guilford’s season-high 21 goals match the sixth-highest total in school history.

Dionne scored all of her goals in the first half and Iandoli netted three in the period as the Quakers (5-6, 2-1 ODAC) raced to a 15-2 halftime lead. Chelsea Marciniak tallied for the WildCats (2-8, 0-3 ODAC) two-and-a-half minutes into the contest, but Guilford answered with a four straight tallies, including the first of Taylor Campellone’s three goals.

Randolph’s Hannah Bradley scored with 20:39 left in the half, which made it a 4-2 game, but Guilford ended the half with 11 unanswered goals. The Quakers’ Megan Gaeth scored the second half’s first two goals, which opened a 17-2 margin.

Nine different Quakers dent the twine Wednesday night, including Demming Carlow, who joined Campellone with three scores. Gaeth and Amber Dubois both tallied twice, and Summer Fowler added a goal and three assists. Iandoli had one assist for a career- and game-high five points. Dionne shared game-high honors with four draw controls. Cat Thresher paced the Quakers’ defense with four caused turnovers and four ground balls, both game highs. Goalkeeper Sammi Milbourn made two saves and caused a turnover.

Bradley scored twice and Taylor Gamble added a goal and an assist for Randolph, which was outshot, 31-9. The WildCats’ Teagan Stanley had a game-high four draw controls and three ground balls. Netminder Chrissy Shackleford stopped seven shots and had two ground balls.
