Coach Stu Katz will be stepping down as Northern Guilford High School Men’s Head Soccer coach after two seasons, citing personal reasons. Coach Katz led the Nighthawks to back-to-back Conference Titles.

This year the Nighthawks matched the best season in school history with a record of 19-2-1, setting school records for the least number of goals
allowed (10) which was also the lowest in the state of North Carolina, most shutouts (15), and lowest goals against average (.45).

The past two seasons, the Nighthawks advanced to the second and third round of the State Playoffs; both years being knocked out by Final Four Teams.

Coach Katz was this year’s Conference and Regional Coach of the Year in addition to being a finalist for State Coach of the Year.

Coach Katz has a High School record of 317-108-55.

Mr. Katz will continue to teach at Northern High School.
