Three from Greensboro College Golf team earn GCAA All-Region Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Three members of the Greensboro College men’s golf team received Division III All-Region honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Grant Powell was selected to both the All-Region and All-Freshman teams, while Levi Grogan and Scott Campbell also received All-Region honors.

Powell, a native of Colfax, N.C., is currently ranked eighth nationally and is tied with Grogan with a team-best 73.4 scoring average.

Grogan, a Canton, N.C. native, is ranked 21st nationally, while Campbell also sits in the Top 50 at 41st.

During the 2016-2017 season, Powell, Grogan and Campbell helped lead the Pride to three tournament victories, including a win at the prestigious Jekyll Island Invitational. In addition to the three team titles, the Pride teammates combined for three individual victories, seven Top-10, finishes and 16 Top-20 finishes.
