WHAT: Powerade State Games High School Softball Tournament

WHO: Eight all-star teams from across the state, competing for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. The state is divided up into eight regions, and each player attends tryouts to represent her respective region. The coaching staff is made up of high school coaches, volunteering their time for the event.

WHEN: June 20-21, 2017

WHERE: UNC Greensboro and Carolyn Allen Park

Last year Region 6 (Charlotte Area) beat Region 1 (Northeast) for the Gold Medal. Region 5 (Triad Area) won the Bronze.

The Powerade State Games are one of the oldest, largest and most successful State Games programs in the United States. There are currently 30+ State Games programs in the United States. The State Games are open to all ages and all skill levels. The average age of the Powerade State Games participants is 16 years old. The State Games are funded by corporate sponsorships, contributions and event revenues.
