HAGERSTOWN, Md. – McKenzie Mills retired the first 12 batters he faced and carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning as the Greensboro Grasshoppers (1-1, 38-32) went quietly in Hagerstown during a 4-0 shutout win by the Suns (1-1, 39-32) on Friday night at Municipal Stadium.

Daniel Johnson put the Suns ahead for good in the third inning with a two-run homer that reached the center-field bullpen for his 14th round-tripper of the year, leading all sluggers in the South Atlantic League.

The Suns scored again in the fourth. Anderson Franco lifted his 11th double of the season to the wall in center before Tres Barrera scored him from second on an RBI single to left, giving the Suns a 3-0 lead.

That was all the offensive support Mills (Win, 8-2) needed as he struck out four batters in a row and six of ten during a dominant streak in the first four innings. Colby Lusignan spoiled the perfect game with a lead-off walk in the fifth and Corey Bird tallied the first base hit on a two-out, groundball single into center field during the sixth. Greensboro added two more singles to load the bases, but Mills stranded all three runners when Lusignan struck out swinging.
