The HiToms came into tonight off of their worst loss of the season after blowing a big lead in Gastonia. They came back with vengeance at home tonight versus the Mustangs.

In the third, David Sheaffer was at it again with another RBI this time a double in the gap.

In Baldwins last inning, he gave up two unearned runs in the 4th after an error, hit by pitch, walk and single tied the game at five after four.

In the home half of the 5th, Kip Brandenburg continued his strong night leading off the bottom of the 5th with a home run that has yet to land to take the 6-5 lead. After a double from Sheaffer, Kole McKinnon hit an RBI single that drove in Sheaffer.

Riley Isenhour had a strong night, throwing two hitless innings while striking out three in the 5th and 6th innings.

The HiToms added one insurance run in the 7th off of a walk and error to give themselves the 8-5 lead.

Nick Silber tossed the final three innings for the HiToms, giving up and unearned run in the 8th but struck out five batters in his outing and earned his second save of the season.
