SANDRINGHAM Sabres have landed a major SEABL signing in import Jasmine Gill.

Gill arrives at the club after a season with South Conference champions Kilsyth where she averaged 20 points and nine rebounds and won All-Star 5 selection.

Sabres coach Simon Giovannoni said the American shooting guard, who is currently averaging 17 points and 10 rebounds playing in Sweden, finishes her campaign on March 15.

He is hopeful of unveiling his prized recruit in Canberra on opening night on March 25.

“She’s a flat out scorer so coupling her with Britt Smart gives us two really potent perimeter scorers who can really shoot the ball and stretch defences from downtown,’’ he said.

“The thing that excites me about Jasmine is her athleticism, she’s long and pretty unique for an import in that regard”.
