Big Tournament effort turned in by Greensboro Colt Baseball leaders Bernie Myers, Jan Myers, Don Stowe, Miguel Paula, Paula Westlake, Taylor Westlake, Emily Paula, Alexis Paula and Alexis was a home run hitter with her work on doing the PA/Public Address announcing throughout the entire tournament…Excellent job by Alexis and she was a huge help to all of those following the tournament in person at Grimsley…Big shoutout to Alexis and to Robb Stowe and Trey Stowe in their work on the tournament each and every year…

And the man that had the plan to make this tournament happen at Grimsley, it was Gary Flynn that did it again in 2017 and taking over the tournament site/field operations in 2016, Gary Flynn did it again and he did a great job pulling this off at the host site, Grimsley High School…Ned McMillan on hand to share many memories of Colt Baseball Seasons and Tournaments in Greensboro past and good to see Carmine Pagano on hand today and one of the Western Guilford parents told me a while back during the tourney, that Carmine made his young son, into a young man with the training Carmine offers up over at Carolina Acceleration, inside the Greensboro Batting Center on High Point Road….Local Greensboro baseball historian and Greensboro Sports historian Dennis Williamson on hand today/Sunday at the Championship Game and we saw Cliff Craven, Bob Sublett, Justin Smith and Larry Farrer today and Paul Stutts was on the scene back on Thursday and Friday at the tourney….(Mr. Boyd from Western Guilford was on hand and stuck out the storm until 1:30am on Friday morning)…Others who were there need to step up and make yourself be known and keep our buddy Bob Sublett on your list, he has health issues and could use a boost….

Great tournament and Greensboro has another Colt Baseball team making their out to Lafayette, Indiana for the 2017 Colt Baseball World Series….

Go Greensboro Green……
Head coach Brett Garrett and assistant coach Pella Stokes leading the charges with other assistants on board as well…..
