The Kernersville Bulldogs win Carolina Virginia Collegiate League Championship with a 8-2 victory over the Catawba Valley Stars Sunday at Moor Park.

Kernersville used four pitchers to limit the Stars to 3hits. Joseph Peeler(Mt Olive), Nick Borgen(Catawba), Jeremiah Tripplet(UNCG) and Jake Mayhew(UNCG) combine to fan 12 on the day. Colin Lipke(GTCC) with 2 double and two rbis, Noah Campbell(USC) with a 4-4 day including a homer,and Ryan Caveness(GTCC) 1-3 and a rbi paced the Bulldogs.

Kernersville finished their Championship season with a 47-7 record which also set a Bulldog career mark!

Lipke was selected the Tourney MVP. Michael Garvey(GTCC) , JT Stone(Mt Olive), Nick Wilson( Charleston WVa) along with Campbell made the All Tournament Team. from Kernersville.

    Last we heard he(Lipke) was headed to William and Mary this Fall….

    Lipke graduated from GTCC this past Spring and signed to play at William & Mary. He holds most of the GTCC hitting records…great player, great student, great kid! Going to be very tough to replace him!
