PRESEASON TOP 15 NAMED BY CAROLINA GRIDIRON

CarolinaGridiron.com has ranked the football teams in North Carolina. With the recent 20-30-
30-20 realignment, many teams are playing in new classifications. Defending 4AA champion
Wake Forest takes the top spot in 4A while 2A #1 Shelby is looking for its fifth title in a row.
Greensboro Dudley is looking to excel in their return to the 3A ranks. Tarboro holds the top spot
in the 1A classification. These rankings will be updated each week during the regular season.

  1. The 3A will be the most competitive in the state. If Robert Bailey of Scotland were not a glorified Pop Warner coach, then the Scots may play Wake Forest in the 4AA championship, but the guy is a typical coach in an area ladened with talent versus possessing coaching talent.
