RICHMOND, Va. – It was yet another great year in the classroom for Colonial Athletic Association student-athletes, as a total of 2,119 student-athletes received the Commissioner’s Academic Award for the 2016-17 academic year. A total of 186 Elon student-athletes were recognized with this honor.

The CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award gives special recognition to those student-athletes who have distinguished themselves both in the classroom and in the athletic arena. Elon had the most, or tied for the most, players represented in men’s basketball (9), men’s soccer (20), women’s soccer (23) and women’s tennis (9).
