SNOW HILL, N.C. – Allison Killette and Rachel Lea opened play for the Greensboro College women’s golf team at the Cutter Creek Invitational Monday.

Killette, a senior from Whitsett, N.C., carded a 10-over-par 82 on the par-72 Cutter Creek Golf Club. For her performance, Killette sits in a 21st place tie in the 43 player field.

Lea, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C., sits just three shots behind her Pride teammate at 13-over-par after shooting an 85, which places her in a 27th place tie.

“I am very proud of our two ladies today,” Head Coach Randy Tuggle said. “The ladies are playing against D2 schools and holding their own.

“They both played well but a couple of holes kept them from being in the top-15. We are looking forward to getting back at it tomorrow.”

Killette and Lea will return to the course to wrap-up the 36-hole event Tuesday. For more information on Greensboro College women’s golf, continue to follow www.greensborocollegesports.com.
