Women’s Soccer Game At Hollins Cancelled In 57th Minute Due To Weather
from Wes Gullett, Greensboro College Sports Information Director

ROANOKE, Va. – The Greensboro College women’s soccer team’s game against Hollins University was suspended and cancelled with 33 minutes remaining Tuesday due to weather and darkness.

The Pride and Hollins tried to complete the game after three weather delays but was unable to do so.

At the time of the suspension, Greensboro was leading by a 15-0 score.

“It is really unfortunate that we were not able to complete this game today,” Head Coach Gus Mota said. “The girls were playing well, but it was the right decision to call the game as player safety is always the most important thing.

“We will now get back to practice and get ready for our next contest.”

The Pride women will return to action at 5 p.m. Friday when they travel to take on Christendom College. For more information on Greensboro College women’s soccer, continue to follow www.greensborocollegesports.com.
