Peraza Named USA South Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Gerardo Peraza was named USA South Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Peraza, a native of Southern Pines, N.C., helped the Pride men remain perfect last week in USA South Athletic Conference action.
Peraza scored two goals in Greensboro’s overtime victory over Averett University Friday, while also adding one assist.
Peraza’s first goal came in the 34th to give Greensboro the lead 2-1 before the Cougars were able to take a one-goal lead at halftime.
Peraza then assisted the game-tying goal in the 64th minute before putting the match away with his second goal of the contest in the first minute of overtime.
