Women’s College Soccer Final: Guilford 6, Hollins 0

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Katie Kaznowski had two goals and one assist as Guilford College cruised past visiting Hollins University, 6-0, on Friday night. Lauren Culler added a goal and two helpers for the home club.

Guilford, which earned its first Old Dominion Athletic Conference victory, improved to 4-6-1 and 1-3-1. HC dropped to 0-9 and 0-4 in the conference.

Kelsey Reilly opened the game’s scoring on a hard blast from 18 yards in the 11th minute. Three minutes later, Gabriela Silva fired a shot from 20 yards for Guilford’s second tally.

Culler pushed the margin to 3-0 at the 28:28 mark. She received the ball in the box, had a few touches and slotted a low shot past goalkeeper Kendra Rich. The score stayed 3-0 at the break.

Kaznowski scored from Culler at the 57:19 mark. Twelve seconds letter, the same duo connected for the next goal. Susan Dillinger volleyed in the game’s score on a pass from Kaznowski in 59th minute.

The Quakers dominated possession and led in shots (64-1) and corner kicks (16-0). Rich stopped 23 GC shots. Morgan Malikowski had one save and earned the win for the home team.

Guilford plays at Randolph College on Wednesday (10/11) at 6 p.m.
