Guilford College Men’s Cross Country Finishes Third at Hagan Stone Classic

PLEASANT GARDEN, N.C. – The Guilford College men’s cross country team placed third at the Hagan Stone Classic. The Quakers tallied 63 points in the four-team meet.

Guilford’s Caleb Amstutz led the Quakers with a time of 28:02.54 in the 8K race. He finished in fourth place of the 43 competitors after running a personal best time.

Caleb Anderson placed ninth after recording a 28:51.34. Teammate Kieran Arbury ran a 29:44.64 and was 14th.

Southern Virginia University won the team competition with 30 points. SVU’s Michael Myers clocked a 26:55.95 and was the individual champion.

The Quakers return to action on Oct. 28 at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championships in Virginia Beach, Va.
