“The 2018 schedule gives our program an opportunity to compete against the absolute best teams in the country,” Torpey said. “We are looking forward to a great challenge.”

Before the season gets started, the Panthers will be well-tested by visiting North Carolina (Jan. 20) and hosting Johns Hopkins (Jan. 27) for scrimmages. Then, the regular season gets going fast as HPU visits Duke (Feb. 8) and Georgetown (Feb. 12) before hosting Maryland (Feb. 17) and Virginia (Feb. 20) with all four games coming in 13 days.

From there, the Purple & White wrap up non-conference action with trips to St. John’s (Feb. 24) and Robert Morris (March. 3).

The Southern Conference opener is at home on March 17 against Bellarmine with the first league road trip coming the following Saturday at Richmond. The alternating between home and road contests continues the rest of the spring as HPU hosts Jacksonville (March 31), VMI (April 13) and Mercer (April 28). Meanwhile, the squad travels to Furman (April 7) and Air Force (April 21) before the SoCon Championship in Richmond, Va. on May 3-5.
