HPU Men’s Basketball Signs Curtis Holland III to NLI

HIGH POINT, N.C. — High Point University men’s basketball head coach Scott Cherry has announced that Curtis Holland III has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Panthers in the Fall of 2018.

“We are so excited about Curtis and his family joining our men’s basketball program,” Cherry said. “Curtis is a strong bodied, athletic guard who can score from three, off the bounce and by posting up. His athleticism helps him impact the game on the defensive end as well. He comes from a great family and excellent AAU and high school programs. We look forward to watching him progress his senior year.”

Holland III, a 6-3 guard who can play either at the point or on the wing, was a Washington Post All-Met honorable mention as a junior at Southern High School. The Churchton, Md., native was also named second-team All-Maryland and first-team All-Anne Arundel County after averaging 17.2 points per game and 6.2 rebounds as a junior.

Holland III plays AAU for the District Basketball Club and was a Powerade All-American.
