GDS’s Tamera Thorpe playing well at University of SC Upstate

In the famous words of the great Peyton Manning at the line of scrimmage calling “Omaha, Omaha, Omaha”. Tamera Thorpe and her University of South Carolina at Upstate teammates tried an Omaha but lost 66-69 to the University of Nebraska at Omaha in the final few seconds.

While USC Upstate has had a slow start to their season, Tamera Thorpe formerly of Greensboro Day, is having a good start to her 2017-18 season. She scored 22 points in a loss to Virginia Tech last weekend followed by 20 points in the loss to Nebraska Omaha last night. Tamera is leading her team in scoring as well as FG% .54, 3FG% .50 and FT% .85.

USC Upstate will look to get back on the winning track by the end of December against teams such as Gardner-Webb, Furman and Oklahoma State before entering Atlantic Sun Conference play in January.
