GAME NOTES:
–Eastern Guilford came out and established the tone early in the 1st quarter with an 11-4 run versus Northwest Guilford in the Viking’s first game of the season. The undefeated Wildcats used multiple runs to keep the Vikings at bay throughout the 1st half in route to a 59-52 halftime score. The Vikings fought valiantly during the 2nd half and briefly led a certain moments during the 3rd quarter, but could not sustain their momentum as the Wildcats held on for an 82-71 victory.
–Johnny Pagano led Northwest with 17 points and 3 rebounds. Tristan Perry contributed 12 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals while Tommy Smith added a team high 6 assists. Dean Reiber finished with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the Vikings. As the 4th scorer in double figures for Northwest, Brandon Thomas had 10 points and 3 assists.
–Jaylen Alston led the Wildcats with a game high of 33 points while Montez Venable contributed 29 points for Eastern.
