  3. More Friday night action to speak of. In Mid State Triad 3-A play McMichael overcame a 10 point 4th quarter deficit at home to defeat Morehead 53-51 in a rivalry game and in conference action. The Phoenix defense stepped up in the final eight minutes and held the turnover prone Panthers to 2 points in the 4th quarter to hold on for the win.
