GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and Smith HS clashed in the 1st round of the HAECO Tournament at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex. Smith came out and beat the Vikings on the backboards and several offensive rebounds lead to baskets for the Eagles. In addition, the Vikings had multiple turnovers and a number of empty possessions that resulted in a 10-point deficit at the end of 1st quarter. It was much of the same in the 2nd and 3rd quarters that lead to double digit deficits for the Vikings. The final quarter saw Northwest put together some positive plays by sharing the ball that resulted in the final 13-point victory for Smith.
— Dean Reiber led the Vikings with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 blocks. Christian Hampton contributed 12 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, & 3 blocks. Tommy Smith added 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists while Tristan Perry finished with 6 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists for Northwest.
–Smith was led by I. Bigalow with 17 points while S. Mason added 10 points for the Eagles.
