HIGH POINT — Molina Williams’ 13 points and 11 rebounds helped The Burlington School capture first place by defeating host Southwest Guilford 52-43 in the Sheetz Holiday Classic in girls’ basketball Friday.

Williams was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament while teammates Elizabeth Rice and Lige Reece each made the all-tournament team.

Oliva Eller scored 10 points while Rice and Anyiah Vanhook added nine and eight points, respectively, for the Spartans (9-3).

Lauren Carter and Faith Price led Southwest Guilford (7-5) in scoring with 14 points apiece.

SOUTHWEST GUILFORD 52, THE BURLINGTON SCHOOL 47: At High Point, The Burlington School fell to host Southwest Guilford in the championship game of the Sheetz Holiday Classic.

Christian Martin scored 13 points and Jayden Turner added 12 for Southwest Guilford (10-3).

Josiah Jeffers scored 12 points and had seven assists while Makiah Fox tallied 14 points and five rebounds for the Spartans (11-3).
