Local kids/young men shine for N.C. State in 52-31 Sun Bowl Victory over Arizona State:Gallaspy(SG), Pratt(HP Central) and Morehead(EG) had excellent games

Excellent efforts turned in by the Guilford County Kids for N.C. State, in the Wolfpack’s Sun Bowl victory(52-31) over Arizona State on Friday, in El Paso, Texas….

Here is how the Guilford County Kids/Young Men were able to stack it up for the Pack….

RB Reggie Gallaspy III(Southern Guilford HS) with 70 yards rushing on 11 carries and 2 TD runs and Reggie is a hard runner…Two big TD’s, plus he caught one pass for 3 yards and he made one tackle and it was a solo tackle..

LB Germaine Pratt(High Point Central HS) had 5 Tackles and 4 of them were solo tackles, plus Pratt had a Quarterback Hurry….Was a DB, but moved to linebacker and he has gotten stronger, faster and tougher and he is one of the quickest players to the ball on this team…..

DB Jarius Morehead(Eastern Guilford HS) with 5 Tackles and 2 of them were solo tackles….Hard hitter, who is in on a number of plays each game…

#25 Gallaspy, #3 Pratt and #31 Morehead will all three be back for the Pack next season, in 2018, and look for all three to have some type of shot at the pros if they keep on improving and working on their games…..Reggie is a junior, Pratt a junior and Morehead is a red-shirt sophomore, so all of these Guilford County kids are getting close to finishing up their college careers in Raleigh…Again hoping that all three of these GCK’s/Guilford County Kids will get a chance to make it in the NFL……

  1. I also read that Jarius had a fumble recovery I had a prior obligation and did not get to see the game. There was no TV available. Also congratulations to WF for their high scoring win. Several area players on the WF squad as well.

  2. I think Jarius did have a fumble recovery…They didn’t
have the fumble recoveries listed with the stats over at ESPN.com, but I think you are right…

WFMY TV 2 did have coverage of the game and CBS has broadcast the Sun Bowl for 50 years and I think this is the only postseason bowl game that CBS carries other than All-Star Games….
