East Forsyth’s steady defensive pressure wore down home-standing Glenn enroute to a 68-44 win over the Bobcats in Kernersville Tuesday night. The Eagles earned their second Central Piedmont 4A Conference win in workman-like fashion, breaking open a tight early game by holding Glenn scoreless for almost six minutes spanning the first & second quarters to take a 13-point lead (34-21) in at half.

East led by as many as 26 points (63-37) before clearing the bench against the Bobcats, who lost for the 14th time in 15 games. The Eagles, now 11-3, held a 20-rebound advantage over Glenn, led by Connor Sparrow, Josh Wiley & Shemar Watkins with six each.

Eleven of the 15 Eagles scored in the victory, led by Josh Mahaffey’s game-high 16 points, including 4-6 three-pointers. Tanis Samuels added 13 points & five rebounds while spear-heading the East defense through the middle stages of the win.

East Forsyth continues its stretch of road games Friday night at Reagan and next Monday for a 3p game at Mount Tabor before returning home for an important CPC game against Davie County.
