Ahmad Jeffries with 52 points Tuesday night for NGFS Bears but Terrell Leach(Southwest Guilford HS) still has the recent Guilford County record with 54 points back in 2012/Devan Boykin goes off for 41 points for Ragsdale HS on Wednesday night

Ahmad Jeffries with 52 points last night for the New Garden Friends School Bears in their win, but Terrell Leach still has the most recent Guilford County record scoring mark with his 54 points, in the SWG Cowboys victory over the Western Guilford Hornets, back on December 29, 2012 in the Sheetz Invitational Championship Game at Southwest Guilford…

Final that night was Southwest Guilford 98, Western Guilford 97 and again, Terrell Leach with 54 points for the Cowboys, from SWG….With that win, the Cowboys moved to (11-0) for 2012….

Good to have those GreensboroSports.com posts stored to go back to and hard to believe it was all the way back in 2012…As they say, “It seems like only yesterday”….

Good job Ahmad Jeffries from New Garden Friends with the 52 points and we will keep tracking those numbers to see who has the next big game/big thing….

“Leach Line’ from December 29, 2012 for Southwest Guilford vs. Western Guilford:Terrell Leach with 54 points, 5 Rebs, 2 Asts, 2 Blks, 2 Stls…..

  1. What year is Jeffries and who is recruiting him? I remember the #’s that the SW kid was putting up several years ago but disappointed that he was only a D3 player in the end. It was my understanding that the SW kid did not have either the SAT scores or general course grades for D1. I would assume a kid at a private school would not have such a problem.

  2. Terrell Leach was at Winston-Salem State but have not heard from him lately and KJ Langley, younger, but on that same team with Leach at SWG, is noW at Greensboro College, after starting out at Livingstone….

Jake Honeycutt will need to get us the lowdown on Jeffries and former New Garden Friends Bear, Kanaya Obi-Rapu Jr. made it to Longwood College/University and was there with the Longwood Lancers…

  3. I seen Kanayo Obi-Rapu on the East Tennessee State roster for this year. Not sure why the transfer but see he is there.

  4. That’s interesting about Obi-Rapu….Very interesting…
Didn’t East Tennessee State just knock off UNCG???
