RAGSDALE 61, NORTHWEST GUILFORD 58
GAME NOTES:
–Northwest Guilford and Ragsdale faced off in a Metro 4-A conference contest that ended with the Tigers hitting a late game shot to come away with a 59-57 conference win. The Vikings were able to overcome a 4-point 1st quarter deficit to limit Ragsdale to only 6 points in the 2nd frame. The 6 point advantage that Northwest held at the half was maintained into the 4th quarter, but the Vikings were unable to seal the victory as they extended the lead to as many as 9 points, but only shot 4 of 11 for 36% from the free throw line during the final period.
–Tristan Perry led the Vikings with 14 points and 5 steals. Johnny Pagano finished with 12 points while Christian Hampton added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Dean Reiber contributed 7 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks for Northwest. Brandon Thomas posted 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. The Vikings also got aggressive play from Jacob Riddles off the bench as he pounded the glass and came up with 6 rebounds.
–Ragsdale was led by D. Boykin with 27 points while A. Clark and J. Ford finished with 16 and 10 points respectively for the Tigers.
