NORTHWEST GUILFORD 61, HIGH POINT CENTRAL 54
GAME NOTES:
–In a Metro 4-A conference game, Northwest Guilford and High Point Central battled in a matchup that saw the Vikings come away with a 61-54 victory. Northwest was able to establish control of the game in the 1st quarter that ended in a 4-point advantage for Northwest. The 2nd quarter saw the Vikings put together a few good plays on both ends of the floor that resulted in an 8-point halftime lead for the Vikings. The 2nd half saw the Vikings extend their lead to as many as 14 points and were able to hold on for the victory. Northwest was able to amass 17 assists on 23 made field goals.
–Dean Reiber led the Vikings with 25 points, 8 rebounds, and 10 blocks. Christian Hampton controlled the entire game from the point guard spot as he scored 4 points but secured 12 rebounds and dished out 11 assists to go along with 4 steals and 3 blocks. Brandon Thomas contributed 11 points and 4 assists for Northwest while Jacob Riddles added 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.
–High Point Central was led by T. Marbury with 18 points while D. Deing and C. Daniel each finished with 12 points for the Bison.
