Southeast girls defeat northwest 28 to 23

  • Tom said,

Amy Beasley coaches the Southeast JV.

Mark Dunker has coached the middle school for the last 7-8 years.

  • KD said,

SE is coached by a man not sure what his name is but in my opinion he is one of the better coaches at the middle school level.

  • Andy Durham said,

Good calls, good calls….I think Mr. Dunker is also a soccer coach at some level…

Good responses on the SEG basketball…

  • Erwin said,

Another Tuesday game: Kiser at Allen. Boys tip-off at 4:45 p.m., followed by the girls.

  • jill said,

Kiser boys today 445 at Allen and Girls at 6.
Also, WAY TO GO SE GIRLS!!!

  • Jenny said,

Northwest defeated Northern Middle girls when they played earlier this season so I am guessing Northern has two losses at least. Northern coach wouldn’t call off the press even though Northwest was killing it for layups the entire game.

  • Andy Durham said,

Northern Guilford Middle School girls very impressive in their warm ups before the game, that is what got my attention….Pretty sound fundamental team/squad, but I have not seen SEG, but SEG is Unbeaten and SEG us undefeated and NG has lost two games, then SEG has the edge going in, that is for sure….

The game with NG vs. SEG girls is set for Thursday at SEG…

Unbeaten Kiser boys vs. Allen today, at Allen, with game set to tip at 4:45pm….

Middle Schools are making some noise and if they are going to have the Middle School All-Star Games again, it is about time to begin thinking about who will be selected/chosen…

I am thinking Travis Shaw from Kiser and Jayden Watlington from Swann are both on for the boys and we will be looking at more names for the future and Destiny Timberlake from the Kiser girls team is almost a must for the All-Star Game, you would think….

We will be seeing and hearing more about these games as the end of the season draws nigh/nearer….

  • To Jenny said,

Are you with Northern or Northwest? Let that young man coach. This is why no one wants to coach anymore. People want middle school coaches to be Phil Jackson. Everyone is Greg Pop until you have to sit in the head coach chair and back the decisions.

  • Jenny said,

I agree with you about coaching…I don’t envy them at all. I am a Northwest supporter however I wasn’t trying to criticize, just observing Northwest getting layup after layup on Northern’s press. It is obvious the Northern coach does a great job of organizing and getting them to play hard so I am not trying to knock him at all.
