  1. We had Jax going to Furman, but we had to hold it to a lean…Got a call from former South Carolina governor Nikki Haley last night and she ask me if we could hold the news on Jax…She felt if we broke it last night we might start a riot down in Greenville, N.C., home of the Furman Paladins once they got the news that they got Jax(fans would be going wild and crazy in “Furman Town”) and then there may have been a riot breaking out up in Boone, N.C., when they got the news too early too….Boone fans missed out on a good one, no doubt about that…..

I told Ms. Haley, yes mam, no problem brother, I mean sister and we held on to what Charlie Pannell used to call the ‘real cheese’…

There you go, and now you know what Paul Harvey used to refer to as, “The Rest of the Story”….

Jax Hackett; great kid, great family and best of luck to him and also to Trey Love from SEG going to ECU and best of luck to all of kids that have signed today….

Good Luck to the Class of 2018 and look out for Landon Johnson/LBJ and those guys coming out in 2019…..

  2. I ran into Dominique Graves from Eastern Guilford a few weeks back and he was real excited to be on his way to college and to Winston-Salem State…At the time I saw him, he could not spill the beans, but D. Graves and his brother Kendyl can really help the Rams…They both are focused and they already have the classroom part down and they will excel on the field and in the classroom….WSSU lucky to be getting those two and I thought I would just throw that in for a good first down completion…

  3. I think I saw Nile Harris in a Grimsley Signing Day photo and I have been knowing Nile since he was maybe 4-5 years old and we were both hanging out over on Phillips Avenue…

Congrats to Nile on his commit to Richmond and look forward to hearing more about his future with the Spiders and I saw Grimsley has Jack Hazzard going to Old Dominion and that is a good catch for the Monarchs too…

Nile Harris will be doing some big things one day and it may not all happen on the football field, but that young man will be doing some big things….
