TIGER WRESTLERS BATTLE BACK WITH GUSTO

Among the impressive Ragsdale Athletic Highlights for the 2017-18 year is without a doubt the performance of our Tiger Wrestling Program, which finished its dual team season last week with a fantastic 41-1 record. Checking in with head Wrestling Coach Lewis Walker on the night that ended our Tigers dual team season, I will forever remember Coach Walker’s immortal words: “Coach, all we do now is go right back to work!”. And back to work is exactly what Coach Walker, his staff, and our incredible Tiger Wrestlers did. Yesterday, our Tigers finished Runner Up in the Midwest Regional Individual State Playoffs, held at Glenn High School in Kernersville. Our Tigers were slightly edged out for the Regional Crown by a mere .5 (1/2 a point) to Davie County. Ragsdale’s Wrestlers finished 2nd, out of a very impressive group of 19 schools in the Regionals. Below are some of the outstanding performances turned at yesterday’s Regionals:

120 – Nigel Freeman (4th)
126 – Ahmad Smith (1st)
132- Raymond Nesbit (2nd)
138- Tommy Nguyen (2nd)
152- Isaac Tahirkheli (2nd)
195 – Cameron Blizard (1st)
220- Devante Lambert (3rd)
285- Brandon Williams (2nd)
