Bishop McGuinness opened up the NW-1A Conference Tournament on Monday night against East Surry and earned a tough victory. The Villains finished with 5 players in double digits for the first time all year in a balanced scoring effort. CJ Cappuccio paced Bishop with 17 but it was the effort of Phil McDonough, Neil Ingle, Jake Babcock, and Andrew Budzinski on offense and defense that propelled the Villains all night. Bishop takes on Winston-Salem Prep for the third time in 8 days in the 2nd round of the tournament tomorrow night at North Stokes.
