Where is Montez Venable on these three teams? I will call this like it is, Montez has better numbers and these other coaches were torched by him but yet Northwest gets two guys and so does North Davidson, what a joke. Just curious who is the district supervisor, don’t worry I already know. One word, politics. It’s a shame that Montez, a senior, gets snubbed for someone’s personal preference or agenda.

  • always said,

Always politricks in sports. Especially when newest involved. Congrats to the young men and women. Yeah I do not quite get the 2 boys tied smdh never seen that b4.

  • Andy Durham said,

I was wondering the same thing…Where is Montez Venable, from Eastern Guilford High School???

No disrespect towards the other young men that made the teams 1 through 3, but Montez Venable belongs on here somewhere……

    Politics,
    Got your back, absolutely ridiculous!!

  • PERRY SAUNDERS said,

I have watched High School Basketball for 40 years as a fan. Montez Venable is one of the best guards I seen during that period. The young man is a nice shooter, he can drive to the basket and can pass the ball to set everybody else up. This is not a knock on anybody on this list, however, it is a tragedy this young man isn’t on it.

  • Something To Say said,

First off congratulation to all the athletes on your success this year. By no means I am not knocking anyone off the list, but I have the same question “Where is Montez Venable name on this list”? Why Eastern Guilford keeps getting the short end of the stick I will never understand. If it was not for Greensboro sports no one probably would hear anything about them. All I say is to give credit where credit is due. Two way tie??? Why not a three way tie? Why not a two way tie 2nd or 1st team? Montez keep doing what you do. High School ball is over and time to focus on the college level. Just as everyone counted Eastern out I know what lies ahead for you is even better as it was for Eastern Guilford the last two years.

  • EG DAD said,

CRAZY, THANK YOU TEZ AND JAYLEN FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE FOR EASTERN. MAKING IT THE BEST PROGRAM IN GUILFORD COUNTY. REAL TALK TEZ SHOULD BE ON LIST, JAYLEN ALSTON SHOULD BE PLAYER OF THE YEAR. COACH SPINKS SHOULD BE COACH OF THE YEAR. YOU GUY DO NOT NEED THE IDOITS THAT VOTED FOR THIS TO VALIDATED YOUR WORTH. THANKS FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS. LET IT BE KNOWN WE WILL PLAY ANYONE ANY PLACE. THE WILDCAT WAY!!!!
