College Men’s Golf News – Guilford’s Mishoe Named ODAC Golfer of the Week

FOREST, Va. – Guilford College sophomore James Mishoe (Cary, N.C./Green Hope) earned the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s (ODAC) Men’s Golfer of the Week Award Monday. Mishoe is the third Quaker so honored this season. Guilford has won four of the league’s weekly honors this year.

Mishoe claimed first place at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational Sunday for his first college tournament victory. He led the Quakers to a second-place finish by shooting 10-under-par 206 (67-70-69) over 54 holes. His score marked the second-lowest 54 total in Guilford history and featured a tournament-high 18 birdies. He has a 69.50 stroke average in four rounds with the Quakers since transferring from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in January.

Coach Justin Tereshko’s Quakers travel to Sierra La Verne C.C. in California the West Cup March 26-27.
