College Women’s Lacrosse Final – Roanoke 22, Guilford 3

SALEM, Va. – Maggie Lewis scored six goals in Roanoke College’s 22-3 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win over visiting Guilford College Wednesday afternoon.

Katie Clements and Lainey Decker added four scores apiece as the Maroons improved to 4-3 overall (1-1 ODAC). The Quakers dropped to 4-4 (0-1 ODAC).

Lewis scored four goals and Clements added three in the first half, which saw Roanoke race to a 13-1 edge. The Maroons unleashed 29 first-half shots to the Quakers’ five and enjoyed a 46-8 shots edge for the game. Roanoke also picked up 22 ground balls to Guilford’s eight and held an 18-7 edge in draw control.

Guilford got goals from Nia Gill, Madison Iandoli, and Audrey Helfenbein. Sarah Sedaghat made 14 saves in goal.
