(No official word yet, but the speculation has begun to hit the fan and we are ready to peep through the window at the man, who might be about set to become the new head football coach, at Eastern Guilford High School.)

Joe Glass, was the Head Football coach and weightlifting teacher at JM Robinson. He has 3 daughters. This was his 16th year coaching and 12th teaching.

2016(10-3)/(8-1) in Conference….Won South Piedmont 3-A Conference, one game ahead of Concord…
2015(8-5)/6-3) in Conference…..Looks to be a (30-11) record for Joe Glass in his last three years at JM Robinson High School, in Cabarrus County….Was at David Patton High School before coming to JM Robinson….
2014 Coach Glass’ first year at JM Robinson and he was hired at JM Robinson, coming out of David Patton, on May 1, 2014…MaxPreps had no name beside the Robinson coach for 2014 and we looked it up and with Coach Glass hiring in May of 2014, his 2014 first-year record at JM Robinson was
(0-11) overall and (0-7) conference….(30-22) overall for the 4 years at Robinson, for Coach Glass….
More info to follow….Got Coach Glass at (7-5) in 2013 at Patton HS…Coach Glass was (2-8) in 2012 at Patton High School….(9-13) in two years overall at Patton and (39-35) in six years overall as a head football coach….Coach Glass was at David Patton High School, from the days the doors opened and that had him there for a total of 7 years and 7 football seasons, with two as the head football coach at David Patton HS……

*****We ran into Marquell Cartwright yesterday at the Shell Quality Mart on Summit Avenue and it was great to see the former High Point Andrews 2-A State Champion running back and the current top RB for the National Champion N.C. A&T Aggies….Cartwright is doing right, staying in school and playing top level collegiate football and I told him yesterday how proud we are of him….Great to see a local product do so well and again, great job Marquell Cartwright and it was great to see HIM for first time in about five years and we are so proud of the job you have done in that Championship backfield at N.C. *****Saw Jack Hassard’s dad yesterday and Jack is the offensive lineman from Grimsley High School, committed to attend Old Dominion University, and begin play for the Monarchs in the Fall of 2018….Jack is a very hard worker and I told his dad yesterday if he keeps working like he did at Grimsley, he should be able to start on the line one day in the near future for ODU/Old Dominion…….Great work ethic Jack Hassard and keep it up and you will maybe surpass Walt Hazzard(NBA) and Ezzard Charles(WBC)…And maybe even Hurricane Helms(WWE/TNA/WCW)…..Keep those weights pumping Jack Hassard….*****

*****Queens University senior Todd Withers(Northeast Guilford HS) walked off the court with his team at the end of Thursday night’s semifinal game in the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Championship tournament at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Queens University Royals fell 105-99 in two overtimes….Todd Withers(NEG) and Solomon Smith(Greensboro Day School) saw their chances for a DII National Title go up in smoke…
