STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – Heather Munro carded a final round score of three-over par and Elon University women’s golf finished 11th place at John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate on Tuesday, March 27, at Eagle’s Landing Country Club.
The Phoenix posted a 940 (309-311-320) during tournament action and finished just a stroke back of a top-10 finish. Jacksonville took home the tournament title, running away with an 18-stroke victory. Maria Brunzell and Amanda Detmer of the Dolphins each shared the individual title.
The Highlights
Munro used her final round to jump nine spots on the player leaderboard to earn a top-25 finish. She made a birdie and 14 pars to finish tied for 24th individually.
Aurelia Hamm had the second-best individual finish for the Phoenix as she earned a tie for 38th after Tuesday’s final round. Hilda Kristjansdottir finished just one stroke behind Hamm and tied for 46th overall.
Rounding out Elon’s competitors, Adel Vadkerti earned a tie for 58th on the player leaderboard, while Katherine Reilly drained a team-best two birdies during the final round to place tied for 70th.
