*****Just a few Masters Golf notes for us from the Masters Golf Tournament, going on this week at the Augusta National Golf Course, in Augusta, Georgia….****from www.theleadsports.com

MAKING A SPLASH: SERGIO CARDS A 13 ON THE 15TH
Sergio Garcia hit four beautiful iron shots, all landed on the green a few feet from the hole, and all of them rolled into the water. Last year’s green jacket recipient ended up needing 13 shots to finish the 15th hole, which coincidentally is the exact same number of shots I took when I was 15 in what ended up being a horrible, horrible evening. SPIETH CATCHES FIRE, SHOOTS 66
Like a dry juniper in the path of a forest blaze, Jordan Spieth caught fire on the back nine, carding five consecutive birdies between No. 13 – No. 17 and finishing with a 66 (-6). The 24-year-old Texan leads the field by two strokes, but Rory McIlroy (-3), Phil Mickelson (-2), and Rickie Fowler (-2) are amongst the big names in the hunt…

TIGER COMES BACK TO EARTH
After bogeying No. 12, El Tigre was at +3 and fading, so ending up at +1 (T29) wasn’t the worst result for the world’s most popular golfer. It would be amazing to him bounce back into contention with a round in the 60s today.
