Isley Throws Shutout as Southern Alamance Patriots Varsity Defeats Eastern Alamance

Isley Duggins didn’t allow a single run against Eastern Alamance, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Southern Alamance Patriots Varsity to a 5-0 victory on Saturday

Southern Alamance Patriots Varsity notched four runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by Southern Alamance Patriots Varsity was led by Allison Moore and Lauren Staley, all driving in runs in the inning.

One bright spot for Eastern Alamance was a single by Maddie Lawson in the first inning.

Duggins led the Southern Alamance Patriots Varsity to victory on the pitcher’s mound. She lasted seven innings, allowing four hits and zero runs while striking out nine.

Lawson took the loss for Eastern Alamance. She surrendered five runs on five hits over six innings, striking out five.

Southern Alamance Patriots Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up five hits in the game. Abi Stuart and Sidney Martin each had multiple hits for Southern Alamance Patriots Varsity. Sidney Martin and Stuart each collected two hits to lead Southern Alamance Patriots Varsity. Southern Alamance Patriots Varsity was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Stuart had the most chances in the field with nine.

Lawson led Eastern Alamance with two hits in three at bats.
