Elon’s Munro Collects All-CAA Women’s Golf Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – For the fourth time in her career, Elon University women’s golfer Heather Munro has earned All-CAA honors. The senior from Dundee, Scotland, has been named a second-team selection for the 2017-18 season as announced by the league office on Wednesday, April 25.

Munro was a second-team honoree as a freshman and earned first-team accolades in each of the past two campaigns.

Over the course of her senior season, Munro competed in all nine of Elon’s tournaments and ending the year with a 75.00 stroke average over 26 rounds. Munro claimed four top-10 individual finishes on the year, including a career-best second-place showing at the Boston College Intercollegiate and tying for fourth at the CAA Championships. At the Pinehurst Challenge, Munro finished a career-best four-under par to tie for seventh.

Munro concluded her Elon career with 13 top-10 individual finishes and six top-five individual showings in 37 tournaments. Over 108 rounds, Munro’s career stroke average was 75.07.
