BROWNS SUMMIT, N.C. – Guilford College’s Justin Tereshko won the Old Dominion Athletic Conference’s (ODAC) Jack Jensen Men’s Golf Coach of the Year Award and the Quakers’ Louis Lambert (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Latin) was named the league’s co-Rookie of the Year. The league’s head coaches nominated and voted on the awards presented April 24 at the Bryan Park Golf and Conference Center where earlier in the day Guilford clinched its league-record 17th ODAC men’s golf title.

Five Quakers also earned all-conference laurels at the league’s annual golf championships banquet. Guilford’s First Team All-ODAC honorees included sophomore Zachary Evens (Mercer Island, Wash./Mercer Island), junior Josh Hill (Superior, Colo./Monarch High School), and sophomore James Mishoe (Cary, N.C./Green Hope (UNC Greensboro)). Lambert picked up second-team All-ODAC recognition and senior teammate Harrison Frye (High Point, N.C./High Point Central) was a third-team pick.

Justin Tereshko - Guilford

Tereshko won the league’s top coaching honor named for the legendary Quakers’ golf mentor for the first time in his career. Guilford is presently rated eighth in both polls. The Quakers have used 10 different golfers in 10 events who have combined for five first-place finishes and 17 top-five results. The 2012 Transylvania University graduate has helped Guilford to three NCAA Division III tournaments and three ODAC titles in his four seasons. Tereshko is Guilford’s first ODAC Coach of the Year since Corey Maggard was so honored in 2013.
