Emmanuel Moseley(Dudley High School), who started 31 of the 51 games he played for the Tennessee Volunteers the past four seasons, has told GoVols247 he agreed to a free-agent deal with the San Francisco 49ers after he went undrafted as the Draft concluded last Saturday.

Moseley(5-foot-11, 184-pounder) ran a 4.38-second 40-yard dash and performed well in position drills at Pro Day last month to grab the attention of NFL personnel.

The Greensboro, N.C., native arrived at Tennessee in January 2014 as a 145-pound former high school quarterback, and he spent his first offseason eating everything in sight, including as many peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches as he could make and consume, to add weight to his lanky frame.

Moseley started twice as a freshman and finished with 19 tackles, two tackles for loss and six pass breakups in 2014, and as a sophomore in 2015 he started the first seven games of the season and recorded 11 pass breakups and his first career interception in the Outback Bowl.

Moseley started all but three games his junior and senior seasons.

He was Tennessee’s fifth-leading tackler in 2016, when he racked up 57 tackles to go with 3.5 tackles for loss and six pass breakups.

As a senior, Moseley finished with 38 tackles, two tackles for loss and seven pass breakups, intercepted the second pass of his career against Southern Miss and graded out as Tennessee’s second-best cornerback and eight-best defender with a 71.4 mark from Pro Football Focus.
