  • Liza Moberg said,

Andy, were you at the game tonight? Thought we saw you but weren’t sure it was you.

  • Andy Durham said,

Yes, I was there and enjoyed the game from the center field seats/my standing spot just outside the center field fence and that was one of the first times I had watched a softball game or baseball game from that vantage point, but I liked it…Sort of neat to see the ball coming at you from that view…Outside looking in, if you will….

I thought for a Second Round team, that Charlotte Olympic threw the ball away too much and they gave Northwest Guilford several extra outs that led to more scoring opportunities for NWG….

Once NWG started pulling away Olympic seemed to lose their focus, but overall, the pitching change did help Olympic and I thought their second pitcher was stronger than the first girl they threw….

NWG took advantage of the extra bases that they were given and Bizzy, Maddy and Gracie and all of the Vikings were doing their job….

Was impressed with the feisty third base coach for NWG and she kept the players aware and on their toes…

Moberg was mowing them down and for being only a freshman, she has a good road ahead for her….

Good to see Coach Shoemaker over there at first base and always good to see head coach Mike Everett patrolling and running his dugout and having his young ladies/girls ready to play….

Wish them luck in Round Two next Tuesday and here’s hoping everyone will get out and support Southwest Guilford in their home Round Two game tonight, at ‘The Ranch’….

Good game and a good night for playoff softball, both last night and now on to tonight….
